Shaping the Future of Teaching and Research

Ishan Educational Institutions organised a four-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Next Generation Academia: Integrating AI into Teaching and Research” from 22 to 25 July 2026. The programme brought together academicians, researchers and education professionals from institutions across the country to discuss the changing role of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, research and higher education.

The FDP featured distinguished resource persons including Pardeep Tayal, Vinod Singh Yadav, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Atique, Preeti Venugopalan Suresh, Prof. Mansaf Alam, Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Goswami, Dr. Bharat Dash, CA Nakul Arora, Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur and Dr. Neetu Bali. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including Responsible AI, Generative AI, Academic Integrity, Research Excellence, Digital Governance, Innovation Ecosystems, Academic Writing and Market Research. Discussions also focused on the evolving role of AI in higher education.

The interactive sessions gave participants an opportunity to engage with experts, exchange ideas and understand the practical possibilities of using AI in their academic work. At the same time, the discussions highlighted the need for responsible use of technology, particularly in teaching, research and academic writing.

The enthusiastic participation throughout the programme reflected the growing interest among educators in adapting to new technologies and changing academic practices. The FDP provided participants with perspectives and ideas that could be carried forward into their teaching and research activities.

The programme concluded with appreciation for the resource persons, participants and organising team for their valuable contribution towards making the FDP a meaningful learning experience.
